The Power of nightmares The full documentary.  Most people believe 9/11 was the work of a carefully planned Terrorist web. This documentary suggests all positive ideologies ,including liberal views of a free society ;which it sites that 1967 riots caused Liberal model of a the free society to fall, have failed mostly in the power they provided to governments. Then 9/11 happened now look at the power of The Neo conservatives that back Bush today. While I don't believe everything in this documentary ,like global warming as a myth  ,free choice and a Liberal view of multiculturalism still lives here in Canada and blaming one event for it's downfall in the US is garbage. Trying to force Religions on anyone is Bull S__t.  Everyone should still see The Power of Nightmares because, Nightmares are not doubt powerful indeed. The Bigger Question it didn't bring up is. If  there are people who know the web of terror is a fantasy ,if indeed it is a fantasy. They are willing to send people to attack other countries. What would they do to keep that power?

The only choice to slow private health care in B.C. ,but education about aggressive involvement in privatization in all areas of public good is needed to avoid American style public services. We should have got behind the The 2002 Romanov Report  for the last federal election ,but one step at a time I guess!! I Anything short of excepting the Romanov Report and work to furthering it will eventually lead to a healthcare failure and then politicians will say see we have to go private American style healthcare. When there's money to be made you better bet some are ready to privatize our country.

John Ralston Saul  Defendant of public education! The 1872 school act of British Columbia school Act states "The purpose of a public education is to give every child in the province such knowledge as to fit him or her to become a useful and intelligent citizen". Unfortunately, the government seems to have a desire to disregard social gains: education and healthcare for everyone. The Agenda at the moment is to sell off these gains to companies, which intend to make a profit. Governments that follow these Privatization agenda's are damning the future for their citizenry. Privatization of education is costing the government increasingly more. Education is the very thing which teaches the citizen to make good educated choices about the democracy, in which he is sup post to live in. The cost of  privatization, in the case private schools, is felt hardest by poor people who will find it difficult to pay for privatized social services. John Ralston Saul was in a open forum about the cost of private schools on the weakening public school system. If only rich people get to receive a proper education this means only they get skilled higher paying jobs. This will shrink the average person intelligence and by doing so set up great barriers for the poor. We are moving from a right to an education to a right to empty your wallets. Can Canada set it's own destiny even while pressure to sell of public trust is coming from inside and out.
